I know mostly everyone here is looking into generalist programs, but I have a CGMBS interview coming up and have a few questions if anyone cares to answer.
My interview time is 2:40PM...this looks like a very odd time. I know all the interviews for 2 positions are going to be done in 1 day, so are they just jamming all the interviews back-to-back in 20 minutes intervals? Does that mean the interview is that short and you are likely to see all the other candidates wondering around the halls? What was your experience for the SFSU interviews?
I know it's customary to visit clinical sites to rate them in order of which you would like to attend, but how about if I am interviewing at for a position that will only be for one location only? Is it necessary to make time to see the lab beforehand? I can't make too much time because my job and distance to interview hinders me.
When ranking your sites, what made you prefer a location over another? Latest equipment? People running the program? Proximity?
