Hey guys do any of you know if an MLS (ASCP) with 6 years molecular experience including implementation and validation of NGS platforms can sit for the SMB (not the MB)? Just seems a little redundant to have to get the MB first if I’m shooting for the SMB. I’m trying to get this certification so I can more easily get into a field applications job with a biotech company but not even sure if these types of employers are aware of what this certification means. I’d still like to have the base knowledge.
