I have BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have 2 years of experience working in Microbiology labs as a Microbiology Lab Technician and a Microbiologist. I would like to transition to working within a hospital environment performing high complexity testing. I noticed that all job postings for Medical Technologist require ASCP certification or must be eligible for certification.
1. Are there any programs for becoming a Medical Technologist that will take less than 2 years to complete?
2. Are there any programs that will allow me to finish a program faster since I already have a BS in Biology?
2. Are any programs part-time? I need to be able to work while going to school.
3. Was going into the field worth it for you?
4. Should I pursue nursing instead?
5. Are there any nursing programs that will allow me to finish the program faster if I have a BS in Biology?
6. Are there any nursing programs that are part time and will allow you to work while going to school?
