Pay and salary is ALWAYS negotiable. This means that when a potential applicant is hired, HR and the hiring manager usually have a pay range that they are willing to offer the applicant.
They will always present the LOWEST rate or close to the lowest rate they think they can get away with. If the applicant comes back and says they want a higher rate, if HR and the hiring manager really want the applicant, they will increase the rate. That doesn't mean they will increase it to what the applicant asks for, but usually it will be increased.
There is a ceiling for how high HR would go before they will reject the applicant. This ceiling is usually based on how other current employees with that same position are paid, or if the pay is getting higher than their leads/supervisors etc. You can't have an overly paid employee because that's bad for everyone else and HR tries to be fair.
Your goal as an applicant is to find that highest rate that the employer will hire you for, but not to overdo it where you will be rejected. I hope everyone uses that advice well. :D[/QUOTE]

My name is Huy Le. I am glad to read back these comments since the last time I read all MT related information. I used to be skeptical about the negative comments and how miserable a mt could feel before deciding to enter the program. I am now a MLS with 3 years experiment. I’m laughing at my self reading these comments and it’s ironically true and biased at some point.
I just wanna say thank you to you your comments have always been inspirational. I wish to move to California soon. I always love California .
