Hi @dtbenjamin88,
I am piggybacking on the comment you made above and wanted to get your inputs on the career path that I should follow.
Alright so I have listed down the education below to get a better understanding:
1. Ph.D in Industrial Biotechnology from UK
2. with two years Masters in microbiology from India,
3. Three years of Baccalaureate in Microbiology from India.
Experience:
1. Currently working as a postdoc research associate in NewYork.
With the above degrees and experience, I am trying to place myself into one of the ASCP genres of MLS or M(Microbiology). The concern here is about the path to follow ahead.
1. Should I give ASCP or ASCPi? - I am assured for now that I fit in ASCPi; but pro-tips are welcome.
2. out of all the four (ASCPi/MLS) and five (ASCPi/M) routes, which one do I fit in?
3. If I choose Route 4 (ASCPi/M) - how old could be the experience? I worked in a lab back in India about 9 years ago for 6 months.
4. So if I do not even have experience, nor get eligible for the test, based on reqs - what's the best approach.
Thank you so much in advance- I know I just got into the comments on this forum but I am seeking all sorts of help to get some light on the path.
Thanks,
Ash
