To answer the above, only speaking from my experience, I attended Jr. College only to end up with two degrees none of which were my actual degree! The counselor who I depended on apparently received a kick-back for keeping students at the school (Theory, but very plausible), either that or was completely and utterly inept! I then had no option other than to transfer to a University, which I did (A very renowned one at that) and the only logical option was to carry on in Psychology. Back then circa 2006' there was a job market for Psych majors...Then SHTH the last 8 years and we hit the Great Depression times 10! Psych jobs went to hell in a hand basket, as did most jobs that were not in Engineering/Architecture/Computer Analysis! Thus, 4+ years later, an IQ over 162 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with Departmental Honors I am still UNEMPLOYED! Did I plan this? NEGATIVE! Nor did any other Psych major, that I can assure you! So stuck...can not afford to go back to junior college to pay another $6K just to receive my undergrad to then go on to an accelerated MSN program. Nor can I afford the same to attend a community college to take classes to prepare to attend a Computer Analysis/Engineering program as one has to then obtain a Bachelors in such above-mentioned field. In good ole California, this option no longer exists, as the impaction rate is through the roof in all UC's and the Cal States with Dreamers! Thus, like the others, I am literally stuck! Over and underqualified, and definitely not willing to WASTE ANY MORE MONEY in the PSYCH field, only to walk with a USELESS degree or one that pays minimum wage! I unlike your NPD self, am perfect!
