After this past semester, my GPA is now a 2.96. Next semester I will be a Junior and will be applying to my clinical year at two different hospital programs in my state. Fall 2015 semester was rough for me because I had too much on my plate and was working so much that I couldn't even find time to sleep. Additionally, there were other things that came up making it hard for me to keep my grades up. I ended up with a D+ in one class and a C+ in another. I am planning to retake those two courses since I have room to do so next fall semester. This past spring semester I did much better, but i received a C in my Cell Bio course because the final exam was extremely difficult for me. I had Bs and B+s majority of the semester.
I know that there is a good chance that I will not be getting into one of the clinical programs this year, but I felt as though I was on the right path until I received that Cell Bio grade. I'm not questioning my interest in Medical Technology, but rather if I am cut out for it. I thought about applying to a CLS program in another state if I don't get into this program, and if all else fails I could apply to a local community college and go for an AAS degree as a CLT instead.
To those who have made it through the program, do you believe I should keep going with my plan and adjust when need me, or should I change my path of study altogether?
