From experience as a new tech and seeing the salaries that are being paid out unless you are near retirement age you are not making that much for the amount of schooling and student loans that we have to pay back. I keep bouncing from job to job trying to make more but nobody is paying for legitimate experience. It all depends on when you graduated not how much you actually know. Many hospitals in the Detroit area have a compression issue and they don't want to bring new techs in at more than there experienced techs. I wish I had a way out of this career I do not see any potential for a salary increase other than the measly 1 or 2% hospital wide raise per year. Its unfortunate that this much schooling can barely support me with my student loans.
